Gifted & Talented Provision
The City School International – Sharjah
The City School International – Sharjah values the unique abilities and potential of every student and warmly welcomes pupils with a wide range of talents and capabilities. We are committed to creating a secure, stimulating, and academically challenging environment that supports the development of all learners and enables them to reach their maximum potential.
TCSI Sharjah has a dedicated policy for More Able and Gifted & Talented students. The purpose of this policy is to provide a clear and consistent framework that guides the identification, support, and development of students with exceptional abilities. It outlines the nature and management of teaching and learning approaches designed specifically to meet the needs of these learners.
Through the implementation of this policy, TCSI Sharjah ensures clarity, transparency, and shared understanding among staff, students, and parents. We recognize that giftedness may present itself in many forms — academic, creative, artistic, athletic, leadership-based, or technical — and that students may excel in a variety of specific skill areas.
Our approach focuses on:
Identifying and nurturing exceptional abilities across multiple domains
Providing differentiated learning opportunities and enrichment activities
Offering diverse teaching strategies tailored to individual learning styles
Encouraging independent thinking, creativity, and innovation
Supporting social and emotional development alongside academic growth
At TCSI Sharjah, we believe education extends beyond academic excellence. Our holistic philosophy ensures that gifted and talented students are supported not only intellectually but also personally and socially. We aim to cultivate confident, balanced individuals who can apply their strengths meaningfully in all areas of life.
By implementing this comprehensive policy, The City School International – Sharjah fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where more able and gifted students can truly thrive — empowering them to maximize their potential and make a positive impact within the school community and beyond.
